The Dredger Thrombectomy Device is intended for use in the revascularization of acute ischemic stroke within 8 hours of symptoms onset, which is caused by the intracranial occlusive vessels of patients who are not eligible for intravenous tissue plasminogen activator, IV t-PA, or who fail IV t-PA therapy.
DredgerTM Thrombectomy Device is a highly visible nitinol stent retriever featuring movable cell design and unique dual stent retriever based technology. With its wide range of sizes, the DredgerTM thrombectomy device is suitable for treating vessel diameters from 1.5 mm to 6.0 mm. The device is available in 3 mm 4 mm 5 mm 6mm and 7.0 mm diameters and in lengths between 20 mm and 42 mm. All measures of the device can be used through microcatheters with a 0.021″ inner diameter. The tip of the device is made from a soft material, which allows it to conform to the anatomy of the vessel without causing excessive friction or trauma. This level of precision and accuracy is crucial in preventing further complications and reducing recovery time for the patient.
Features&Advantages
1. The device has a good apposition to the vessel wall because of its closed ring design.
2. Higher thrombectomy efficacy thanks to its exclusive varied cell design which is capable of capturing thrombus by clamping the clots post integration.
3. The large push wire allows better control and precision during the procedure, which enables the physician to quickly and efficiently access the clot. And the large push wire enhances the stiffness and control of the device to navigate the tortuous vascular anatomy of the brain.
4. Atramatic soft tip minimizes damage to the surrounding tissue during the clot removal process.
5. Lowest radial outward force minimizes damage to the surrounding tissue for safety when physicians remove the blood clot from the artery.
6. The excellent full length visibility leads to a maximum in safety and reliablitity during the procedure.
7. The distinctive tuck net is a small mesh structure located at the end of the thrombectomy device avoiding small clots running away.
