MELAtronic 23 EN operates with the fractionated flow procedure. The sterilizer is equipped with high-quality temperature and pressure sensors, and a microprocessor control system. The complete sterilization cycle runs fully automatically.

A built-in water quality measurement, a water level switch and a two-line alphanumeric display allow a comfortable and easy operation. MELAtronic 23 EN is equipped with a serial interface for connecting the protocol printer MELAprint 44 or the MELAflash CF card printer.

MELAtronic 23 EN has four programs:In the universal program and prion program (both 134 °C), smaller quantities of solid, wrapped instruments can be sterilized. In the quick program (134 °C), unwrapped instruments can be sterilized. and in the gentle program, temperature-sensitive, solid instruments (unwrapped) can be sterilized at a lower temperature of 121 °C.
