- The gas monitor is essential for preventing the human injury because it is so difficult to remove perfectly the possibility of existence for EO gas in the workplace where the EO gas sterilizer is operating.
- This gas monitoring system generates an immediate audible alarm and vent the gas forcibly from the workplace just when unexpected gas leakage has been occurred and the concentration of gas in the air is reached to the set level.
- It also has a prompt and accurate response rate and stabilized motion characteristics for easy and user friendly setup and operation, and detects the monitored data in real time, cuts off the gas supplying, operates the fan for venting forcibly etc. and is capable of applying to the several purpose control by adopted microprocessor.
- In case of power failure, the built?in rechargeable battery keeps the monitoring system running continuously for about 10 hours, and connecting it with the appropriate type of detector (with a capacity of 4 to 20mA power) transforms it into an efficient gas surveillance monitor.
- The lifetime of gas detecting sensor is about 2 years and it shall be replaced every 2 years, the zero value and span for a new sensor should be calibrated for detecting and displaying the gas concentration exactly. The replacing and calibrating of sensor should be performed by a well-trained and supplier-authorized technician due to its expertise.

Ethylene Oxide gas affects the human body and OSHA has been regulating that operator should not be exposure no more than 8 hours(TWA) in 1ppm concentration, 15 minutes in 5ppm(STEL).
