Aquilion Serve is equipped with the SilverBeam filter, a beam-shaping filter which leverages the photon-attenuating properties of silver to selectively remove low energy photons from a polychromatic X-ray beam, leaving an energy spectrum optimized for high contrast CT applications.

3D Landmark Scan uses the SilverBeam filter to perform a low dose helical scan at the same dose level as a 2D scanogram to acquire the data needed by for Canon’s Anatomical Landmark Detection (ALD) algorithm to accurately identify the anatomical structures required to perform automatic scan planning for all routine exams.
