LavaTM Liquid Embolic Agents for Endovascular Embolization is an important liquid embolic agent in endovascular interventional therapy. It has been widely used in clinic due to its non-adhesive properties, excellent visibility, good lesion penetration and convenience.
Liquid Embolic Agents for Endovascular Embolization
LavaTM Liquid Embolic Agents for Endovascular Embolization are liquid preparations that can embolize tumor cavities, isolate blood, or embolize diseased blood vessels. It is often used to treat patients with irregular aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations(AVM).
Features & Advantages
1.It was made of non-adhesive material and used the latest technology of EVOH co-polymer.
2.With comprehensive degrees of viscosity (Lava 12, Lava 18 and Lava 34), it accommodates to different clinical requirements.
3.Enhanced fluidness makes it deeper penetration into the nidus and distal microvessels.
4.Stable and controlled delivery to reach complete occlusion.
5.Excellent visibility due to micronized grain size of Tantalum powder.
Each Lava kit Contains:
One 1.5 ml vial of Lava-18
A 1.5 ml vial of DMSO
One 1 ml blue syringe for DMSO
Two 1 ml white syringes for Lava
Principle of Operation
LavaTM Embolic Agents for Endovascular Embolization is delivered by slow controlled injection through a microcatheter into the brain arteriovenous malformation under fluoroscopic control. The DMSO solvent dissipates into the blood, causing the EVOH copolymer and suspended tantalum to precipitate in situ into a spongy, coherent embolus. LavaTM immediately forms a skin as the polymeric embolus solidifies from the outside to the inside, while traveling more distally in the lesion.
